Dr. Jennifer Young, DPM Bio
Foot & Ankle Specialists of Central PA is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Jennifer Young. Dr. Young is a native of Pennsylvania and grew up in Ardmore, PA. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University and her medical degree from William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Young then completed a 3-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Detroit Medical Center, followed by a 1-year fellowship at the Foot and Ankle Institute in Indiana. Her fellowship training focused on Advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. This encompassed a broad range of procedures including trauma management, total ankle replacements, flat foot correction, deformity correction, arthroscopy, tendon repair and augmentation, and surgical management of end-stage arthritis including fusion procedures.
In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Young has received many accolades for her research and dedication to podiatry. She has received awards at the 49th Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum and at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She was also part of the NIH Summer Research Fellowship Program and received the Volunteer Service Award.
Dr. Young is Board Qualified in Foot and Ankle Reconstruction. Her passion is to restore function and quality of life to her surgical patients. Dr. Young now resides in Mechanicsburg, PA. Outside the clinic, she enjoys biking, exploring vegan cuisine, and traveling.
